The Balcony is by far my favorite wedding venue in Downtown Orlando! If you are looking for a unique venue for your elopement or larger wedding, look no further! You will feel as if you are floating 11 stories high above the streets below with a view of Lake Eola, and the surrounding skyline of Downtown Orlando! Bohemian elements and an earthy color palette came together for this rooftop styled shoot in the heart of downtown Orlando. Paired with industrial-chic details, the dramatic views of surrounding skylines and quaint market-style lighting created an urban oasis.
Candace and Austin got married over a year ago, and they have been coming to our tattoo studio for years now. My better half, Tim Lease Tattoos, has tattooed Austin more than any client! It was a no brainer when I wanted to do a styled shoot here at The Balcony to choose this awesome tattooed couple.

THE DETAILS
This intimate gathering kicked off with a gorgeous invitation suite utilizing soft earth tones, playful celestial prints and dark, moody accents. At the bottom, they included a dreamy illustration of the city skyline.
For the bridal look, the model looked anything but traditional. She wore a champagne-colored gown with bohemian flutter sleeves and a dramatic deep V neckline. From head to toe, the dress was dripping in sequins that hung from fringed fabric.
Her hair and makeup were kept natural, and she wore minimalist jewelry. The one statement element was an embellished hairpiece, pinning a section of her bobbed amber blonde waves to the side.
The groom kept it sleek in a tailored gray suit with a black bow tie and black pocket square. Both showing off tattoo art, the couple exuded sophistication and edge.
What I love about The Balcony is that it's pretty much a blank slate, and you can make it any modern style or vibe that you wish! We chose to do a modern boho styled shoot to show couples that are thinking of eloping all of the opportunities to use this blank space. I'm happy to offer all day styled elopements for couples just like this one. Just imagine waking up together downtown at the Bohemian, getting brunch at your favorite spot, riding the swans boats on lake Eola, and saying your vows privately with a few loved ones on top of the city with meaningful details just for the two of you.
This space features over 10,000 square feet of outdoor space, and an additional 6,000 square feet of indoor space in a naturally lit gallery full of romantic and moody light that is a photographers dream! This makes this venue a great location for nighttime weddings with glittering skyline views under the stars, and quaint market-style lighting. The interior is just as beautiful with skyline views.
Inside the cement-clad event venue, natural light flooded in from floor-to-ceiling windows while modern spotlighting and circular pendant lights illuminated the space. The ceremony site was set to showcase a micro-wedding, accommodating eight guests and the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs.
For the wedding arbor, they incorporated a large wooden circular structure decorated with massive floral installations. At the foot of the guests’ seating, there were modern brass lanterns and wicker hurricanes filled with softly lit candles and small floral arrangements.
The cozy floor lounge area combined textural elements including layered Moroccan rugs, plush accent pillows, woven poufs and an abundance of warm candlelight and dried grasses in artisan vases. All of the decor meshed in shades of blush, ivory and beige. Rounding out the earthy color palette, there were hints of blue intensified by the breathtaking city skyline.
To celebrate the “I Do’s,” an intimate dinner party was created for the couple to drink some celebratory champagne and enjoy a private meal. At the foot of the table, there were more wicker hurricanes, single stem arrangements in glass bottles, and a round seagrass rug.
The couple sat in modern, brass-legged dining chairs, and taper candles added a warm ambience to the tablescape. Across the center of the table, there was a wispy ivory fabric runner topped with tropical florals in ceramic white vases.
Each place setting featured a hyacinth charger layered with a boho-patterned dinner plate and olive linen napkin, held by a geometric wooden napkin ring. For final touches, they used gold stiletto flatware and mismatched acrylic glassware.
Like the rest of the shoot, the petite, single-tiered naked wedding cake was uniquely beautiful. It was topped with loose florals in moody, earth hues and a laser-cut topper reading, “We Eloped.”
“I'm so happy we did this styled shoot,” said The Tattooed Bride Photography, “and I hope that the joy and love that we felt in creating this shoot shines and blasts through those photos!”
